Miniatures (1-75)

The miniatures range started in 1956 with what is today know as the ‘Regular Wheel’ models. In 1969 after the release of the ‘Hot Wheels’ brand by Mattel, Lesney decided to update the vehicles they produced to compete with the new faster cars, thus in 1970 Matchbox ‘Superfast’ was born. The new superfast vehicles had faster rolling wheels and became the standard of vehicles still produced today by most diecast vehicle manufacturers.
