This casting is possibly one of the widest used and longest serving castings in the entire Matchbox range, starting life as a Lesney casting in 1977 and still in use over 40 years later.
The casting is used not only as a dump truck but also in other guises such as the MB840 : Water Hauler or the MB140 : Faun Mobile Crane
