In 2021 Matchbox released some country specific ranges, such as this one for the UK and for other countries like Germany, France & Russia
In 2002 a new range titled the ”Stars of Germany” was created and released specifically for Germany. All the models in the range were German designed vehicles like the VW or Porsches.

The International Gathering of Friends is held annually in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. Beginning in 2003 and now sponsored by Mattel, Inc. the owners of the Matchbox brand the event has some exclusive models made each year. A selection of highly detailed miniatures, each car came with a gold coin and was a limited production of just 5000 pieces.
