First released in 2017, the Tuk Tuk was a generic designed model based on vehicles of the type commonly found throughout Asia and in particular Thailand where Matchbox is currently made.
The design of this model was done not only by the design team in the USA but was heavily influenced by staff from the Thailand factory as well because they were very familiar with the design and use of these vehicles.
