The 1925 Allchin was the first model in the Yesteryear range. It was always painted mid-green with red wheels (in various shades) and gold trim. The boiler door first appeared in copper, then gold and finally in silver. The rear wheels originally had straight treads but this was soon changed to diagonal treads. One hard to find variation had the smooth rear wheels from the Y11 Aveling Porter Steam Roller fitted.
The ‘Painted Trim’ refers to the Steering rack & pinion, bands on the upper & lower of the smoke stack, and other small components. The other common part was the flywheel which was painted black although can be found in various shades down to a dark brown colour.

The Smooth rear wheels is a commonly faked variation, pay close attention to axle ends for signs of tampering.
There have been reports of some models having a steerable front axle, this is presumed to be a pre-production variation that was not carried over into the released version.
